This is a stereotype of Indian children. It was found it in a Christmas coloring book for children. It's one of the worst kinds of "wrong information" we've seen in quite awhile. At the end of the lesson, let's hope that students will be able to see how many stereotypes the picture has in it.On TV, in the movies, and even in our current textbooks Indian stereotypes abound. Our desire is that our students will see stereotypes and seek out the truth. Subject: U.S. and California History Fourth Grade
