You are going to learn how airplanes fly and how they are controlled while in the air. You will use your text, other books, videos, the Internet, and several lab activities to do this. You will also build and fly model planes and present a report on some aspect of aviation.
Your Mission
You should start by reading through the
Activities, Materials, and Your Grade pages to get an idea of the scope
of the lesson and what you will be learning. By the end of the lesson
you will understand the basic principles of flight and why the different
types of airplanes are designed the way they are. You will choose
a topic of aviation to study in depthand put together a multimedia presentation
on your findings.
