Introduction
This lesson will introduce the concept of computerized card catalog searching.  Students will learn to identify fiction books from non-fiction, have an understanding of the Dewey Decimal System and how to identify a call number and use it to locate a book on the shelf.

Objectives

1. Students will view a website about the Dewey Decimal System.

2. Students will take a pretest.

3. Students will do a worksheet while using the computer to learn how to
     use the OPAC book search program.

4. Students will demonstrate how to use the OPAC to look up a book and
     then go to the shelf and find it.

5. Students will then take a postest to see what they have learned.

Introductory Activity
