Student Activities

Introductory Activity
Students will be given a map showing the counties in Northern, CA where the places they will be visiting on the internet are located.   Students will then travel to the locations using the internet.

Enabling Activity(ies)
Students will use their county maps in conjunction with internet travel to  learn the roadways they will travel to their destinations.   Once at their destination students will collect information using questions from 5 X 8 cards, such as  where it is located, miles from Redding, what fun things can be done there, etc.

Culminating Activity
Using the information gathered, the students will then create a brochure outlining the reasons to vacation in Northern California.
