via the internet visiting major points of interest that
attract many tourists to the area.

the United States.
Students will become familiar with the highways
that connect many places of interest in Northern
California.
Student Activities
Introductory
Activity
Students will be given a map
showing the counties in Northern, CA where the places they will be visiting
on the internet are located. Students will then travel to the
locations using the internet.
Enabling
Activity(ies)
Students will use their county
maps in conjunction with internet travel to learn the roadways they
will travel to their destinations. Once at their destination
students will collect information using questions from 5 X 8 cards, such
as where it is located, miles from Redding, what fun things can be
done there, etc.
Culminating
Activity
Using the information gathered,
the students will then create a brochure outlining the reasons to vacation
in Northern California.
Assessment

for the culminating activity or a link to your rubric or test document
file.
Results
After implementing your lesson
(sometime between January & March), insert a chart of your pre-test,
post-test, and culminating assessment data.
