Introduction
This is a language arts writing assignment. Students are to choose a favorite animal, domestic or wild. Using library and Internet resources, they should research their selected animal. Some of the areas which might be addressed are: physical characteristics; habitat; life span; unique aspects of this animal; and related animals. Students will use this information to write a 3-5 page paper about  their selected subject. Oral presentations will occur as an extention activity.
