Introduction
Welcome to Through the Eyes of an Artist. This lesson integrates Art, Language Arts, and Technology. Students create a 3-5 minute presentation of an artist' biography and artwork. They begin with a pretest of their art vocabulary, participate in  Internet/Library research to create a Multi-media biography, and conclude with their  presentations, peer evaluations, and a post-test.

The students will share what they have learned  about  an artist' style, his or her influence on others, the elements of art which stand out in the artist' work and information about the artist' personal life.

Have fun as you watch the excitement grow through the eyes of your students as they explore the life and work of artist such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Monet, Seurat and Twentieth Century artist Thomas Kinkade, Bev Doolittle, Anne Geddes or Ansel Adams.

The assumption here is that the technology skills needed to create the Kidpix Slideshow , Hyperstudio Stack or PowerPoint presentation already exsist. If you don't have the necessary tech skills contact your tech teacher  or click on the e-mail link at the bottom; I will be happy to help you.

My students enjoyed this project and were very eager to share it with their peers because they had learned so much, not to mention they "look smart" with those flashy presentations!
