Students will be able to write, identify, and capitalize the 50 U.S. States. They will also take a look at the Holidays that are celebrated throughout the year. After looking at a list of the 50 states students will be able to write the number of states whose names begin with the letters of the alphabet. 3. By looking at a blank map of the United States students will be able to complete the map by filling in the names of the states. 4. By looking at a list of the United States and capitals students will be able to abbreviate the capitals. 5. After looking at the U.S. Holiday calendar students will be able to read and answer questions about certain celebrated holidays. 6. Students will be able to write about how their city celebrates the 4th of July and to find out how other parts of the United States celebrate this holiday. insert
