Hello, and thank you for visiting this site.  The goal of this site is to provide a  unit framework of alternate assessments for students studying a Shakespearian play.

1.1: Infer word meanings based on Anglo-Saxon, Greek, and Latin roots and affixes 

3.4: Analyze recognized works of American and world literature including 

  • Contrasting the major periods and trends and describing how works from different cultures relate to each period.
  • Analyzing the political, religious, ethical, and social influences that have shaped characters and plots.
5.1: In texts of 1,500 words when appropriate, students will:
  • Write fictional, autobiographical, and/or biographical narratives that narrate a sequence of events and communicate its significance, and develop the narrative  elements with concrete sensory details and language.
6.1: Demonstrate control of grammar, paragraph and sentence structure, diction and usage.

6.2: Produce legible work that shows accurate spelling and correct use of punctuation and 
         capitalization.
