Do you know who I am? I can be found in Greek mythology. You are going to read some Greek  myths. There are many interesting gods, goddesses and creatures to learn about. Let's see what you already know.

Day 1
Classroom Activity

Name of Text Book: Elements of Literature

1. Use the Table of Contents to locate one of these myths  to read:  "Medusa's Head", "Perseus and the Gorgon's Head" or "Baucis and Philemon". 
2. Keep a list of unfamiliar terms to define later on.
3. Download  Student Activity Page

Day 2
Classroom Activity
1.  Visit one or more of the websites.
2.  Select a god or goddess that you would like to learn more about.
3.  Begin taking notes.
4.  Include a Bibliography Page.

Day 3
Classroom Activity

1.  Decide how you will share what you've learned. What product will you make?
2.  Review the checklist for the Culminating Activity
3.  Begin writing a rough draft of your information.
4.  Make sure that you include a Bibliography section.
 
 
 
 
 


 


Final Culminating Activity

Days 4-7
Final Activity
You will design a product to present to our class and explain what you have learned about a Greek god or goddess. Your product presentation needs to include the following information:

1.Greek and Roman name of the god or goddess 
2.the family tree (related to) 
3.the symbol(s) associated with the god or goddess 
4.domain 
5.special qualities or powers
6.the name of the myth which told about the god or goddess and a short        paragraph giving the theme of the myth you read (problem/how solved?What powers assisted the god or goddess in solving the problem?) 
7.Cite at least 3 sources of information you used. 
8.Make your project interesting, informative, and colorful. 
9.Include your Bibliography.

*Complete your project. Please ask me for help if you need it. 
Your project is due in 5 days.
