Introduction
This website is to introduce teachers/students on what NJROTC has to offer. Remember we are educators not recruters just as yourselves. We teach students how to study, respect for teachers,parents, and communityt, discipline in accomplishing their objectives, leadership and teamwork, coupled with drill, and team competition with other schools. Conbined with the core values of the Navy.

Instructional Objectives
1. Students will demonstrate they can reconize traits of NJROTC program and their
     relationship to military employment.

2. Student will participate in leadershilp development activities: Military Drill, Class  
    Discussion, Orders to the Sentry, National Chain of Command, Unit Chain of 
    Command.

3. Instruct students on the importance of NJROTC organization and regulations.

4. Students will be introduced to Military Customs and Courtesies

5. Students knowledte of the U.S. Flag and National Anthem


 
 

Student Activities
The students will be required to take a pretest, post test, to measure the extent of knowledge of the NJROTC program at local and national levels. Questions will cover links between local and national units. Research competitive teams throughout city, state and national level. Community service activities relating to their importnace to the unit and school community.
 

Introductory Activity
  Student in the introductory classes need to understand NJROTC  organization at the    
  unit level, Naval Reserve level and Navy level in the defense of our country. This should
  give them some information as to how the unit functions. This will guide them towards a 
  leadership position, teach them discipline and responsibility to themselves and the unit. It
  will foster patriotism towards this country, our flag and national anthem in what it means
  to be a citizen of the United States.

  One: Students will be offered the opportunity to research the web of other NJROTC units to better organize their unit. Second: Research U.S. Navy organizations and Naval Ships to foster a relationship between their unit. Third:  Student will read Cadet Field Manual and Student Text fostering a relationship between their unit and naval service.
