Instructional Objectives 

After  reading ,"UnforgettablePersonalities", in the Elements of Literature  book, the student willbe able to identify  character traitsand how they affect  the plots  and  resolutions of conflict in the stories and relate these characteristicsto themselves and others.
Student Objectives

Introductory Activities
1)Teacher will introduce personality traits to students through a self-assessment.
2)Students will work on the computer to identify their own personality traits using a self-assessment test.

EnablingActivity

1)Students will next work in a partner, pair and share..situation to fill out a Venn diagram.  The students willthen discuss theirsimilarites and differences.
2) Students will then use this information to complete the People worksheet.
3) Students will choose an outstanding character from the story to differentiate from themselves.

Final Presentation
Students willthen deliver an oral presentation to the class on their heroes demonstratingtheir knowledge of character traits.
