Introduction
Virtual Enterprise is a School-to-Career
Business Program. The program is a simulated business that is set up and
run by students to prepare them for working in a real business environment.
In this lesson, the students will determine how to effectively select a
business to start, write a business plan, and seek approval for a start-up
loan by presenting their business plan before a panel of bankers. Students
will work under the guidance of a consultant with the support of a real
business mentor. Emphasis will be placed in using current business software
packages and the Internet.
