Résumé

- Now that you have done all of the research and have examined who you are, you are ready to tell others about it in a résumé.   A résumé is a summary of life and work experience.  It is an important part of seeking and attaining a job.  Résumés should contain current information that will enhance the your abilities.  There are many web sites that can help you with résumés, or you can use the résumé programs in the computer lab .  When proofreading a résumé check to make sure:

Cover Letter

When you send a résumé or a job application to apply for a job, a cover letter is a good way to get people interested in you.  A cover letter should be very positive and include information not included in your resume.  A new cover letter should be written for each job.  It is written specifically for the job you are applying for.  Keep it short, but it should make people want to meet you.

Cover letter  - Complete a cover letter using a standard business block format.  The cover helps to get a prospective employer interested in you and it gives you a chance to show off your talents.  Use positive, energetic verbs.
