Self Assessment  - DEFINE YOURSELF!

 

Before you do anything else print this pretest, complete, and submit the results to your teacher. PRETEST

Use the resources listed below to answer these questions  in at least a one page essay using one inch margins and 12 point type.  

Essay #1 should answer the questions: Who am I?  What are my interests, abilities, attitudes,  strengths (talents), physical features, learning   skills, values, qualifications, work experience and general experience? What things are important to me? What is my education level? What are my lifestyle preferences?  

 

Resources for Self Assessment - 

You will need to participate in  interest, ability, and aptitude inventories.  These type of assessments can be found in the school career center, on the Internet, at the community college, the 1 STOP CENTER, or through military recruiting offices.  Once you have a good idea of who you are, you are ready to complete the first essay.

Michigan Occupational Information System-Self-Assessment Career survey - this site provides a brief survey to you to find out what your career interests are.  The survey is divided into three survey areas (interests, aptitudes, and experiences) to narrow your interests.  Once you submit the survey, three job categories are displayed.  each category has a list of positions that can be clicked to find further information about the career.
