  • 3.Students will identify the capitals of the states.

      1. Students will complete a word scramble of the states.
      2. Students will complete a word scramble of the capitals.
      3. Students will fill in a blank map of the U.S.:
           A.  Labeling boundaries
           B.  Labeling states
           C.  Draw in non-contiguous states
           D.  Color code by regions
           E.  Color code legend at bottom of map
    Introductory Activity
      1.  Hand out materials and have students copy instructions off of chalkboard.

        1.   To get an A the student will have to label all states, regions, boundaries, and color code them correctly.
         2.   To get a B student will have to label 80% correctly.
         3.   To get a C student will have to label 70% correctly.
         4.   To get a D student will have to label 60% correctly.
